Berklee College of Music, one of the world’s premier institutions for contemporary music education, has officially launched a new classroom space designed in collaboration with Taiwanese studio furniture brand Wavebone. The new facility aims to provide an inspiring, ergonomic, and highly functional environment for students to learn, create, and collaborate.
Located in Boston, Berklee is renowned for producing Grammy winners, Oscar-nominated composers, and world-class musicians across a wide range of genres. This collaboration was initiated by Luke Johnson, Director of Lab Operations at Berklee, who led the effort to reimagine classroom infrastructure based on real-world production workflows and evolving student needs.Wavebone contributed several of its signature pieces — including the Star Rover workstation, Student Station series, and custom rack systems — all designed with a focus on recording ergonomics, workflow optimization, and modular flexibility. Each setup supports efficient learning and creative freedom, whether in music production, sound design, or multimedia education.
This collaboration marks a milestone for Wavebone, establishing the brand as a trusted partner in music education globally. By blending thoughtful design with technical utility, Wavebone continues to support the next generation of music creators on their journey to the top.
