I'm so happy with the studio desk. Self assembly was the smoothest I've ever experienced. Every hole lined up perfectly, all parts were there (plus extras), and I was able to put it together myself in about an hour. Been using the desk for a few weeks now and it's a perfect fit for my needs.

We ordered the Headquarter desk for our daughter because of it's space saving design. Shipping was reasonably fast (just over a week to upstate NY) and everything arrived undamaged, even though one box had a piece torn off. Very well built and easy to assemble. One of the threaded holes on the top shelf didn't quite line up, we just omitted the screw and it didn't seem to make a difference. The keyboard desk is a little too low for proper play height when adjusted for her Roland FP-30X, but it works great to save space - she just transfers the piano to a regular X type stand when it's time to practice. We also purchased the cable tray which seems quite sturdy. Yes, it's expensive but it is built in a very functional way and checked all of the boxes. Shipping was quite expensive as well, but there were three boxes ranging between 50-70lbs so I guess that is to be expected.

Purchased this desk based on a YouTube video. I was looking for a simple desk with built-in rack and shelf for speakers and monitors. The Headquarter does that fine, but there are some design issues that I should have look at closer before buying. The main problem is that the support bar behind the desk is in the way of the rear of the rack gear making it difficult, clunky to connect cables. It can block access to the rear of some gear, especially those that are deep, like my Apollo x8 interface. I can only mount that in the lowest space on the rack in order to cleanly get to the rear connections. Same with my Distressor. So, there’s no clean, unfettered access rear ports on your gear.

Second, you need to precisely install the rack rails in the front. There’s a bit of wiggle room on the side mounts so if you don’t match the exact place of the left-right rails, your gear will not mount correctly. And, it’s a super tight fit. Looks nice, but there’s no room for misalignment.

I also ordered the cable management tray and the mounting options are not ideal as both options further obstruct the rear connections of the gear. I ended up mounting it along the back, above the gear outputs using zip ties to the support bars for the rack. Not as designed but it works, sort of.

In hindsight, I would not have ordered the shelving unit for the extra table tops when those are removed for the rack. Looks nice, but doesn’t have practical value for other gear.

Overall, looks nice and it’s pretty solid. Fairly easy to assemble. But I should have looked closer at the back of the unit because I would likely not have purchased.

Desk arrived quickly with no damage. The keyboard stand at max height is just tall enough to not hit my knees. I'm 5'8". I think anyone significantly taller might have some issues with the keyboard stand. The build was pretty simple and took less than 2 hours for both parts. It could be much faster with 2 people. I am an amateur hobbyist so I don't really have any rack mounted equipment. That's not a feature I will be using. I am very happy with my purchase

I have been using my desk for about six months now and I am pretty satisfied. The build quality is high; everything feels very solid and looks great. The only thing that really bothers me is that the 19" equipment cannot be mounted horizontally. I understand that the design assumes installation at an angle, but there are no brackets available that compensate for this angle. Third-party rack mounts do not fit either, because the available space is about a centimeter narrower than the standard width of a 19" rack. It seems that I will have to spend €40 on a pair of simple brackets from Studio Desk just to solve this. Please provide 2U Brackets for horizontal mounting. I'm loosing 25% of desk space right now.
